I went for the MX 700 purely because I wanted the extra (re-programmable) buttons, but this a superb choice too.Unlike the MX 700 this dosnt come with rechargable batteries or a recharger, but like the MX 700 it tracks perfectly (unlike another manufacturers optical mouse) and dosnt go to sleep, so it dosnt miss the first second of movement when you come back to it. If you are packing up your laptop every night, this is the more portable, slightly lighter and smaller choice.

Ultimately easy set-up.
On/off switch gr8 function for saving battery life.
Very good quick responsive mouse.
Solidly built all included.
USB key receiver tiny, works fine.
Only drawback that its range does not exceed about 2 metres.

I got this mouse a couple of days ago, it works really well. On win2k i didnt even need ot install drivers, totally plug and play. For some reason it seems to work better without a mouse mat though!
